Dr Jyoti P Patil is Scientist in National Institute of Hydrology, An autonomous body under Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. Dr Patil is an Agricultural Engineer with Doctoral degree from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, India. She has about 10 years of experience in research with focus on drought management, rainfall-runoff modelling, watershed management and water management modelling. She has published more than 20 research articles on the aspects related to her research interest. Dr Patil is Deputy Coordinator of Indian National Committee for Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (INC-IHP) of UNESCO, whose Secretariat is at NIH, Roorkee. Currently she is involved in projects related village ponds rejuvenation, water management modelling using Water Evaluation and Planning (WEAP) software, wastewater treatment etc. She is actively involved in conducting workshops, trainings and mass awareness activities of the NIH.
