Mrs. Naina Lal Kidwai serves as Senior Adviser at Advent International Corporation. Mrs. Kidwai served as Group General Manager at HSBC Holdings plc from October 1, 2006 to December 31, 2015. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of HSBC India (a/k/a The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, India) of HSBC Holdings plc from May 5, 2006 to December 31, 2015. She served as the Country Head of HSBC India since April 15, 2009 until December 31, 2015. Ms. Kidwai served as the President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry until December 2013 and served as its Senior Vice President since January 2012. 
She has received many awards and honours in India and was awarded the Padma Shri, for her contribution to Trade & Industry, from the Government of India in 2007. She has been repeatedly ranked in the Fortune global list of Top Women in Business in the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times Global Listing of Women to Watch and listed by Time Magazine as one of their 15 Global Influentials 2002. She studied Chartered Accountancy from Institute of Chartered Accountants, Delhi (India) in 1980. She attended Loreto Convent, Simla (India) Indian School Certificate Examination (specialisation in Science and Mathematics) from 1968 to 1973. She holds Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (Honors) from Delhi University Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi (India) in 1977. Mrs. Kidwai received Master in Business Administration from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, Boston, Massachusetts (USA) in 1982.
