Khan has managed to capture the collective Indian imagination like no other Bollywood star has. He heads a successful film production company - Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. His subsequent films, “Happy New Year” (2014) and "Dilwale" (2015), left a mark on the box-office too. His enterprise also houses a state-of-the-art Visual Effects division, which executes exemplary projects that have won prestigious awards. His passion towards this aspect of filmmaking has resulted in the most advanced VFX-driven films such as Ra.One (2011) and FAN (2016) to name a few. As a successful entrepreneur in the entertainment industry, he endeavours to give back to the field of arts that he has received so much from. He is one of the top 10 richest actors in the world, according to a survey conducted by Forbes Magazine.

Shah Rukh Khan is the proud co-owner and guide of the most popular cricket franchise in India, the Carribean and South African league - the “Kolkata Knight Riders”, the “Trinbago Knight Riders" and the "Cape Town Knight Riders" respectively. His sporting spirit and mentorship helped establish the franchise in its very first year as the most loved and commercially successful enterprise. Kolkata Knight Riders have had the distinction of being the Indian Premier League champions twice in a span of three years. He is also the co-owner and promoter of the Mexican franchise “KidZania”, which endeavours to bring quality edutainment to children.

He endorses over 22 national and international brands that have leveraged their association with his dynamic personality and have grown manifold.

Shah Rukh has been instrumental in funding several charitable causes through his non-profit organisation - Meer Foundation. His longstanding desire to make a difference in working towards empowering women has become the fundamental ideology of this organisation. Apart from regular donations to organizations and individuals from the community, especially in cases of AIDS and cancer patients, he was responsible for the creation of a specialized children’s ward in 2004 at the Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai. Eight Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) machines were installed in the hospital at the pediatric ward.
